Lori Vallow Daybell Gets Life Sentence: The Mother Who Killed Her Children
Lori Vallow Daybell, the murderer of her two children and her husband’s former wife, got a life sentence yesterday, on 31st July 2023. Judge Steven Boyce uttered the verdict, and it is “without the possibility of parole.”
Lori Vallow Daybell has already been under a sentence of more than three years after the discovery of the dead body of her sixteen-year-old daughter, Tylee Ryan, and seven-year-old son, Joshua “JJ” Vallow. Authorities found these bodies in the backyard of Lori’s husband’s house in the eastern rural region of Idaho.
Lori’s life sentence came as she was found guilty of “first-degree murder” of her children and conspiracy to kill Tammy Daybell, the former wife of her husband.
She gets the maximum sentence and needs to serve three sentences without interruptions because Judge Steven Boyce finds she “needs to be held accountable separately for each of the three murders.”
The judge also did not notice any signs of remorse or regret for what she had done. Along with the sentence of these murder charges, Lori Vallow Daybell also received a ten-year sentence for a “grand theft” committed by her.
However, Lori Vallow Daybell pleaded herself innocent even on Monday, and in her address to the court, she said, “Jesus knows me and Jesus understands me. I mourn with all of you who mourn my children and Tammy.
Jesus Christ knows the truth of what happened here. Jesus Christ knows that no one was murdered in this case. Accidental deaths happen. Suicides happen. Fatal side effects from medications happen.”
With Lori’s life sentence, one of the most disturbing and gruesome murder cases in recent history comes to an end. The “premeditated and planned” murders of the children committed by their mother grabbed attention worldwide.
and it was a sensation considering it is nearly impossible for a mother to turn her children into “pieces of bone, charred flesh.”On Monday, state prosecutor Rob Wood said, “This defendant violated the most sacred trust that exists in society and she did it for gain. She did it for money.
A defendant who is willing to murder her own children is willing to murder anyone. Society can only be protected from this defendant by a life sentence without the chance of parole.”
