Life Coach Lyanla Vanzant Announces Death Of Her Daughter, Nisa: “Asking For Your Prayers.

Life coach Lyanla Vanzant announced on Instagram the death of her youngest daughter, Nisa Vanzant. In a loving tribute to her daughter, she wrote on Instagram.

“It is with great sorrow that we announce the transition of Nisa Vanzant the youngest daughter ot our Beloved Lyanla Vanzant.” The Instagram post further said, “We are asking for your prayers.

Please respect the privacy of her and her family at this time.Thank you.” Along with the post, a picture was also uploaded, of a white burning candle, with the words “Nisa Vanzant 1974 – 2023.”

There were no further details were shared regarding the circumstances that surround the death of Nisa Vanzant.

The death of Lyanla’s youngest daughter comes 20 years after her other daughter Gemmia died from colon cancer only at the age of 32 on Christmas Day 2003.

Lyanla even reflected on her death in the podcast – The Making Space with Hoda Kotb back in 2021. There she said, “God must’ve really, really trusted me to give me a soul to bring into life and to trust me with the courage to send her out.”

Back in 2014, she said in Fix My Life that she found Gemmia’s journals after she died, and Lyanla said, “saved my life.” Later she said to Oprah Winfrey that about that saying, “Because I was really ready to leave out of here. I have had so much pain in my life, I didn’t think I could sustain another hour.”

Other than her two daughters, Lyanla also has a son named Damon, who is 53 years old.
